About Me...

Katie Torbus

Nashville wedding videographer

Well hi there, I'm Katie! Every since I was about 11 years old, I've loved video cameras and making movies. We had one of those huge, bulky cameras you set on your shoulder and I pretty much took over it. I filmed the dumbest of things, but it didn't matter - I LOVED IT! When I was a senior in high school and on my 18th birthday, my mom surprised me at school with a handheld video camera. I thought it was the coolest thing ever! I carried that camera everywhere and I think my classmates got pretty sick of me. Somewhere between meeting my husband and having kids and starting a new life I forgot all about it. I went to college and studied lots of different things and changed my major about a million times. I finally graduated in 2007 (pregnant with my 2nd child) with a BS in computer science. That wasn't making me happy though. But in 2009, my mom had a great idea for a video business. And I was brought back to what I truly love and have so much fun doing. And here I am!

I hope I can do this the rest of my life! I can't tell you enough how much I enjoy filming, and especially weddings. I never thought I would film weddings, but I tried it and fell in love. There is something very magical about capturing scuh an intimate day between two people and I feel so blessed to be a part of it. It makes me realize even more just how special love really is.
